Grants Program

Three times a year, RMHC issues grants to other South Florida children's charities in the areas of:

Health and Medical Needs
Social and Civic Concerns
Education and the Arts

Funds for the grants are generated solely from canister collections in McDonald's restaurants throughout South Florida and matching funds from Global RMHC. Individual, corporate and foundation donations raised by RMHC are used to provide a "home away from home" for the families that stay at the Ronald McDonald House of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. In 2007, more than $170,800 was awarded to more than 10 organizations throughout South Florida.

RMHC awarded a $10,000 grant towards new computers for the Gifford Youth Activity Center in Vero Beach, FL.

Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Broward County, Inc., was thrilled to receive a grant for their "Cribs for Kids" program.

Palm Beach County Sports Commission was awarded a grant of $20,000 for their "Kids Fitness Festival" in July 2007.
